ABOUT ME
Hailing from the coastal town of Motueka in the South Island of New Zealand, I’ve been immersed in the world of weddings for many years. From my early days as a hairdresser, to a dabble in wedding planning and even serving as an editor for a local wedding magazine in the Whitsundays, I have a deep love for all things wedding and know my way around most aspects of one, from the planning to the party.
I’m now incredibly happy to be back in the wedding industry, this time as a celebrant, which I have to say, feels like the most rewarding role of all.
As your celebrant, I have the absolute honour of sharing your love story with your favourite humans, and fulfilling the legal requirements so you are ‘legally wed’.
My aim is to craft a ceremony that’s uniquely yours. With face-to-face meetings and virtual chats, and a cheeky questionnaire, I delve into your relationship, gathering the threads that weave together your story. With your words as my guide, I create a ceremony that reflects who you are, both as individuals and as a couple.
While many see the ceremony as the part to “get past” before the party, I believe the ceremony is the beginning of your adventure as a married couple. And here you are… you beautiful loved up couple, finding your way to me, which is the most exciting part of all! This is where the real magic begins.
Besides being the most magical day ever, marrying my wife Sharni in February 2023 truly reignited my passion for the world of weddings.
It was a day that felt uniquely ours, thanks to the incredible support and advice of our vendors. Their guidance reminded me of the importance of couples truly owning their special day. That’s the experience I want to bring to you as your celebrant. I’ve always been a firm believer in “your day, your way.” I encourage you to bring your quirks, your humour, your wackiness, your deep love – everything that makes you, you – to the forefront.
My goal for your ceremony is for you to hear those words and feel as though you wrote them yourselves – a ceremony that perfectly captures your connection in a way that resonates with both of you and is an absolute and true reflection of your love story.
